Youth Violence Project

The AFRUCA Youth Violence Project aims to support young people in Manchester, who are from the Black and Ethnic community that are involved in, or are at risk of Youth Violence.

We work alongside Manchester Youth Justice and local organisations within Manchester to deliver a flexible 10-week intervention project with the objective of bridging the gap of culture, identity and empowerment. As part of this project we provide one to one mentoring for young people.

We aim to support young people to promote confidence in their identity and enhance their independent and critical thinking skills. Ultimately, young people wil be able to reflect on the impact of violence on themselves, their families and communities.
