New AFRUCA Child Protection Guide for Black and Ethnic Parents

AFRUCA is delighted to present the fourth edition of our publication: "Understanding Child Protection In The UK: A Guide For Parents In Black and Ethnic Communities''. This unique publication is targeted at parents who are unfamiliar with Child Protection laws and processes in the UK and who inadvertently find themselves involved in the Child Protection system as a result. The "Guide" covers a range of subjects to support parents to strengthen their parenting knowledge and skills, identify risks of harm inside and outside the home and ultimately improve protection and safety for their children. Subjects covered include: UK laws on child protection, the child protection system and why parents do not engage; safeguarding children outside the home; different parenting styles; understanding child development and some positive parenting tips.
