AFRUCA Receives new funding to help tackle the Over-representation of African Children in Child Protection
AFRUCA has been awarded a new grant to help address the issue of the over-representation of African children in the Child Protection System. With the new grant, AFRUCA will recruit a team of 100 Children’s Champions across London and the South of England over the next two years. Their roles would be to undergo intensive training in child protection so they could train others in their communities to help prevent abuse towards children. We expect that over 2,500 parents will directly benefit from the project which is expected to commence in April 2013.
Further information about the project will be announced soon.
