ISSUE:
Child Trafficking has become a major problem in the UK. Various agencies working with children, including AFRUCA are concerned about the high numbers of African children involved. This meeting will discuss the prevalence of child trafficking in our capital today, and the role of the African community in addressing it, with particular reference to domestic servitude, a common factor in trafficked children.
ABOUT AFRUCA
Afruca - Africans Unite Against Child Abuse is the premier charity promoting the welfare of African children in the UK. The organization is also the main charity campaigning against the trafficking of African children into the country. They work with; child welfare professionals to identify and support child victims of trafficking, policymakers to influence child protection and safeguarding children policies, and engage with different African communities to raise awareness and help combat the problem.
