An information workshop on child protection for newly arrived parents

1. To familiarise newly arrived parents with current issues and laws governing family relationships in the UK

2. To explore the differences between bringing up children in Africa and in the UK

3. To enable parents know where to go for help and information if necessary so they can better protect their children

4. To enable parents find out more about the role of social services and the police in safeguarding children from harm
